Welcome to my learning design portfolio! Learning design is the intentional and systematic creation of learning experiences. In K-12 education, it's about using principles from learning science and psychology to create learning experiences that are engaging and effective. The power of learning design lies in its ability to transform learning by making it more student centered and interactive, ultimately helping to foster critical thinking and prepare students for the future.
About Me
After a twenty year career in K-12 education spanning roles as a teacher, learning coach, and now as a director of technology, I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Learning Design and Technology at the University of San Diego. My professional journey has always been guided by a strong interest in learning design, educational technology, technology integration, and using technology tools to elevate student learning.
In my current role, I support teachers and principals with technology integration and also support the learning design, curriculum development, and implementation for a growing online school. While my expertise is rooted in K-12 education, I also have a passion for professional and adult learning design.
